Mélina Pitre

(1928 – 2020)
Collette - Mélina Pitre (born Doucet) of Collette, passed away peacefully at the Foyer Assomption of Rogersville, on Monday October 5th, 2020 at the age of 92. Born September 27th 1928, she was the daughter of the late Ben Doucet and of the late Genviève Haché Doucet.
Mélina will be greatly missed by her spouse Leonard Pitre of 32 years of Rogersville; her five surviving children and four stepchildren: Jane, Louis, Eloie of Ontario, Raymond (Sue), Terry (Johanna) both of BC, Paulette (late Albert), Lillianne (Gilles), Raymond (Lilian) and Patsy (Daniel) all of Rogersville; her only surviving sister, Sophie (Maxime) of Minto; ninetheen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and many nephews, nieces and friends.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her late husband Leo Goguen, her son Tony and her siblings: Marcel, Léo, Raymond, Eric, André, Benoit, Marie, Rita and Jeanita.
As expressions of sympathy, a donation to the Palliative care project of the Foyer Assomption of Rogersville, would be greatly appreciated.
Due to the present pandemic circumstances, a gathering will be held by invitation only at the funeral home ‘La Colombe’ of Rogersville, on Friday October 9th, between 2pm and 4pm. A private celebration of her life will also be held at this time.
