Tabusintac – At the Miramichi regional Hospital, on November 23rd, 2020, at the age of 78, passed away Alcide Joseph Malley, husband of Lorna Malley (née Palmer) from Tabusintac. Born on March 23rd, 1942, he was the son of the late Jeffrey Malley and of the late Catherine Vautour.
 
Besides his wife, he is survived by his sister, Madeleine (feu Elzéar Basque), his brother, Amédée Mallais (Suzanne Doiron), a sister-in-law, Anne Coates (Kirk), two brothers-in-law: Henry Palmer (Linda) and D. Mark Palmer (Marianna) as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
 
He was predeceased by one sister, Sylvina and one brother, Isaïe.
 
Mr Malley was a member of the Neguac Royal Canadian Legion, member of the St. Louis Catholic Church in Brantville, member of the Old Age Club of Rivière-du-Portage, and member of the Fishermen’s Association of Tabusintac. He was a lobster fisherman for many years. He enjoyed hunting with his friends and family gatherings.
 
There will be no visitations at the funeral home and no funeral at the Church. M. Malley will be buried in Riverside Cemetery in Tabusintac on Friday November 27th, at 11am. Face mask and distancing is mandatory.
 
Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation, Tabusintac Riverside Cemetery or donors choice.
 
The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of ‘La Colombe’ Funeral Cooperative Ltd, of Tracadie.
